Often Physiotherapy intervention starts prior to surgery (Prehab). By preparing your body prior for surgery you can maximise your range of movement and strength. The Physiotherapist will also educate you on what is expected following surgery and familiarise you with the post-surgery exercises required. Following surgery the Physiotherapist will monitor your strength and function, designing an individual programme to address any weaknesses found on assessment. The objectives of rehabilitation or Post-Surgery Physiotherapy is to enhance the positive outcomes from surgery.
